Chiann

Hi, my name is Chiann, pronounced Cheyenne. I’m 15 years old and am a freshman at Antioch Community High School. I took my first riding lesson in 2005, when I was 10 years old, at Bellaire Farm in Milton, Wisconsin when visiting my Grandparents camper. I took a couple lessons that year and then the next year went to horse camp for a week with my cousin Kendall and took a couple more lessons when I visited on weekends. I fell off while riding bareback at camp and got scared so ended up back on a lead line until the end of summer. I started riding with Mrs. C at Dreamcatchers in the fall of 2006 and that’s when I really started learning to ride. I moved with Mrs. C to Star Valley Barn in 2007 and learned how to jump. I love this. Then we came back to Dreamcatchers and I began working as staff with Mrs. C. I spent the summer of 2009 training the new pony, Shilo, and she and I won a lot of ribbons at shows that Fall. I was so proud of her that I cried. I love all the horses and my friends at Dreamcatchers and especially Mrs. C. I was on the Field Hockey team at school and have been playing flute in the school bands since 5th grade. I also have been taking piano lessons since I was 8 years old and I sing in the choir at church. I like all of these things but horses are my love.
